Tinker - a YSWS about making e-ink applications.
E-ink is a power-efficient method of displaying content on a screen, and are known for being easy on the eyes. If you've ever heard of a Kindle - that's the most prominent example of an e-ink device!
FYI, the effect you see when you reload this page simulates an 'epaper refresh'. On an actual e-ink device, this kind of full-screen refresh is only done sporadically.

COOL PROJECT BONUS
My favourite projects will also get an NFC-powered e-ink keychain with a 3D-printed case (you can qualify for this even if you don't meet the hour count for the other prizes if I like your project :p)!
Because of how e-ink works, these keychains don't actually have a battery and can simply change their image with the power it gets when you tap it once to your phone. Isn't that awesome?
Spend at least 8 hours on a Tinker project to qualify for one of these (or a card grant to get a pre-owned one)
The traditional ereader!
Small, portable and snaps on to your phone
Open source and fully hackable
Ask about it for a quote :p
Spend at least 12 hours on a project to qualify for one of these (or get a card grant for it)
